Almost there!!

Our Resort

They had decorated our room with rose petals and had fresh fruit and champagne to welcome us and to celebrate our belated 20th anniversary!  Such a nice touch.  Our room looked out at 1 of the 7 pools at the resort and we also had a slight glimpse of the ocean, Steve and Jenny were on the 4th floor so had a great view of the ocean.

Jennie was sweet and was our personal photographer on the 2nd night we were there.

 

Such beautiful sunsets!  Steve and Jennie shared the exciting news on the way down to Cancun that they are expecting the newest member of the Plummer family in July!!  We are so excited to be getting a new nephew or niece!! What a special beginning to a great trip!!

January Birthday Club

Last night we celebrated Joyce and Teresa's birthday by meeting at the Panda Garden in Pella.  It is always something I look forward to ~ seeing the very special Deitch ladies in my family!  Aunt Mary joined us and it was so nice to see her.

Goals for 2012

2012--Ok so I am not looking to make so called resolutions--I like the sound of goals much better!!

1.  to read 30 books this year.

2.  to try 10 different NON chain restraunts.

3.  To try to eat healthier and just make healthier choices each day in my diet.

4.  Work out 4 days a week--if only for 30 minutes each time

5.  spend less time watching tv and being more present and in the moment with those I love!!  

Ringing in 2012!!!

We were lucky enough to spend New Years Eve with our great friends Paul and MIchelle at the Sheraton in West Des Moines.  It was a great night filled with lots of laughs , dancing and 80's music---what could be better!!  

Thanks for Inviting us Paul  and Michelle~it was so much fun!!!  We are so lucky to have you in our lives!!  A special thanks to Aunt Anne for hanging out with the boys at home!!
