SPRING BREAK

We headed to Oklahoma City so that these 6 cousins could meet up for some bonding time!!

We tried to pack a lot in to those 3 days, but just enjoyed hanging out at the hotel, swimming, watching a lot of NCAA basketball, eating and drinking a bit of green beer to celebrate St. Patricks day.  We also got to celebrate Bruce's birthday and Hailey's!

Here is part of the gang headed to Toby Keith's restraunt on the riverwalk for lunch.  The trees were in bloom and it was soooo pretty.

Reen got a cupcake of every kind for Bruce's birthday--how fun getting to try a bit of every flavor--my favorite was the bubble gum!!

We also went to the Oklahoma City Memorial, what a very moving place to go.  To think that 168 people lost their lives in that very spot at the hands of a cold blooded murderer is so very sad. 

Each of these chairs represent a life that was lost that day in 1995.

Introducing Connor Clark Deitch and Charlotte Catherine Deitch

Welcome to the world sweet little ones!!  Nick and Steph were blessed with an especially sweet addition to their family.  Connor and Charlotte were born on their Aunt Dala and Aunt Reen's birthday March 22.  What precious babies they are~I can't wait to kiss those little faces!!  I love being a great aunt.! Congratulations Nick and Steph!!!  Enjoy every moment, they grow up so fast!

Weekend gathering

Saturday night we had some of our oldest(young) friends over for a cookout and got to spend time with their kiddos, which sad to say we have not gotten to do very much.  Lisa  and Lee are very special friends to both Tony and I and are such a blast to be around!!  I treasure every memory with these guys, they make everything more fun!  Thanks for making the trip up to spend an evening around the fire pit, catching up and hanging out!!  We enjoyed getting to know the kids a little more, they are so dang cute--let's not wait so long to get together next time!!  Sometimes life can get busy , but it is always nice to know that no matter how much time passes in between our gatherings, we pick up right where we left off.  We love these people!!!

What a great surprise!!

One of my oldest and dearest friends surprised me yesterday by calling to let me know she would be in the area on Sunday morning and wanted to know if I was available to meet for brunch--of course I said YES!!!  It was so nice catching up with Lisa and it totally made my week!! Love you !  Always so nice to get together and catch up just like we were back in high school.  I have such great memories of my times with Lisa, she is a forever friend.

Birthday Buddies!!

In 2006 Jonah was lucky and got a new baby cousin for his 8th birthday, when Bode Steven Druckenmiller was born.  Since then they have enjoyed spending their shared birthday together, and this year was no different!  We went to Tokyo Steakhouse and were entertained as our dinner was prepared for us on a hibachi grill.  Brystol was a little surprised when the huge burst of flame first appeared right in front of him, but had a ball the rest of the night!  It was a great supper and a great way to celebrate turning 6 and 14 for Bode and Jonah!!
